Best laid plans, etc. Since the last run I've been either hellishly busy or sick (basically week of 9th through 15th, with two days off work), and only today do I finally feel like stretching legs again. But it's too cold, so I'll make it tomorrow, a few campus laps with Mark, I hope.
That means the winter session is over, and I'm starting spring running as a new season, coming back to running in somewhat poor shape after time off -- a famiiar story, enfin!

SRRC run -- Sun. March 2
I'd been snowed under w/ work and not been out, but Mark called at 9:30 so I decided to join him. Most of the regulars were away for one reason or another, so it was the two of us, Bill W. and one woman who decided she didn't want to slow us down or do 7 miles. I guess clubs really need big enrollments to work smoothly. So, the three of us went off for a gentle 7, same route as last week, but at Rt 9 Bill headed on up to the whole Enfield. Cold wind, but nice sunshine, and it was pleasant to chat w/ Mark as we chugged round. Took a slight shortcut near the end (through State school) so the figures were thus:
Time: 58:57
Distance: 6.72 miles
Speed: 6.8 mph
Comment: stopped the clock a bit before the end as we weren't racing; probably 7 miles in all. I really needed the workout (though shovelling snow yesterday meant my back was a bit sore). At some point (spring break?) I'll get back on top of things and run in the week too . . .
