Push USA 5K -- Sat. April 26

First time for this charity run around campus. Gorgeous morning and arrived in good time, met up with Ivan at the registration table and then we ran just over a mile ot warm up. Amazed at how young everyone was! Lined up and away with a few people out fast, and I figured I'd push the first mile a bit as it had no uphills to speak of. Anti-clockwise round campus from the Haigis Mall, a familiar enough route. On the back straight started to feel the pace, as well as wind in face, but plugged on and staved off a pursuer as we headed round past my parking lot and back up Fearing. Just ahead as we turned into campus, and then powered the last bit to come in with a fair time, thus:

Speed: 9.3 mph

Comment: felt like running again! It's good to get back this far, for sure. No official time or places recorded, apparently (Ivan and I left before any announcement), but I was probably in the top 10-15. Good enough. Nice eats afterwards too!
