Two rest days before a run might be nice, but I figured I could manage a donut run, and I wanted to loosen up just in case of the negative effects of resting. So, on a muggy morning after a rainy night, went out for yet another E run, still working on making that slower pace natural. Helped a bit by wearing training longs, as well as a long-sleeved top. It wasn't too hot, but *very* muggy. The basic Hamilton is too short for a 4 miler, unless you add Allen hills, so figured I'd do the basic Rural loop. GeoHannum, Boardman, Rural, and back up GeoHannum. Stopped the clock once I'd hit five miles, just before the railway.
Time: 40:02
Distance: 5.03 miles
Pace/Speed: 7:58s/ 7.54 mph
Comment: various twinges from both legs (calf and tendon), but nothing too bad, and the pace felt right -- no clock watching or slowing down, but I didn't feel I was plodding either. Progress! And tomorrow a 10K race to finish the week.
