MDay-106 -- Sat. June 6

Hot sunny day, but cool in the shade after a cool night. Went out at about 9:30, aiming for a slow long run. Schedule was 5+, but mileage goal meant I wanted 10. Headed down rail trail with water bottle and intent to run slowly (using small stride to keep from plodding). Went as far as Jabish canal, then out to 181, right and down to end of rail trail to return as far as OldSpfld and then take road home, via town common. Stopped for water several times, especially after finding I'd done a quick mile, and left clock running. Overall:

Pace/Speed: 7:59s/ 7.5 mph

Comment: Goal was 8:15s, so even with the stops this was a bit quick, but it's feeling more possible to run slower now, a new pace that I'm familiarising myself with. Up as far as 10 miles it felt pretty good, then my back and shoulders started to get tired. I'm pretty stiffsore now. But, I've got an easier week coming, and today makes a new weekly mileage PB at 47.37 miles, so I've reason to be tired.
