Draw up a slightly rearranged plan for the week, which says an easy 8 miler is in order for today. Late, for a number of reasons, on a cool evening -- head out at 9 pm in long sleeves and long trousers too, aiming for a reverse figure of eight on the GeoHannum/Rural/Eskett/202/Boardman and back. Make steady time, not pushing at any part, though for a couple of the later miles stretch out stride a bit. Result:
Time: 1:03:44
Distance: 8.05 miles
Pace/Speed: 7:55s/7.58 mph
Comment: sprint muscles in my front thighs still very sore, but once I was going the run felt good. Not the best way to prepare for a mountain half marathon. . .
