Already two at the DnD when I arrive--Nick and Savanna--but noone shows up after that. Chat a bit; Nick has calf tightness, 6-7 miles tops, and Savanna doesn't want to go too far, plus she's only doing road, so we compromise: high school to rail trail, where S continues up road, and Nick and I go on down trail. Out to underpass, then down road to the cut back into the trail, and follow it back up. Pace very gentle, 8:20s ish, and we get back with exactly 6.6 miles done. Loo break (running too slowly!), get some gatorade, then I head off for a few more miles -- basically an extended version of the Cannonball 5K, starting through the trail to the high school entrance, then up to Common and down Jabish, then back on 9 to 202 and up into town again, before heading back down to DnD. Comes in thus:
Time: 1:29:15
Distance: 11.42 miles
Pace: 7:49s
Comment: Somehow still pretty sore from yesterday, so not feeling like going much further; also, time pressure to get back to drive A to work and take F & R iceskating. This is going to be an odd week, so aim for a lighter mileage (50).
