A bit stiff from yesterday, but at the DnD in time . . . and noone there. Ready to run solo, at 10:06 am, but just in time Ken arrives, so we go out just the twain. He's game for a new route, so I took him on the extended Jabish canal: rail trail to canal trail, along to 21, cross and reenter trail and along canal some more, then across the bridge and up the hill over to Ludlow Road. Get a bit lost at the hill top, but not for long; once out on to Ludlow, follow it to 21, then up and along to OldSPfld, heading to BHS and thence to DnD. *Almost * double digits at that point (9.86), so we run a tiny bit extra to trip the clock, ending up thus:
Time: 1:21:43
Distance: 10.01 miles
Pace: 8:10s
Comment: this was a good Sunday run--talking all the way through, a nice variety of conditions and views, and though it rained briefly the going was very good, still mainly dry. Weekend's goal accomplished. Now to see if I can get a run in during the week. . .
