Took Thursday as a rest day, as I was at Yale all day again. Switched to morning schedule for this run, though a bit late in starting out; got away at 9:30 or so, and headed out planning an MPace with a bit of hill: to water plant to stretch, then with no further ado pick up pace (but no pushing, and backing off when necessary to keep average in 7:15~20 range. Along Boardman to 202, cross to Chicopee, along to Bagg hill, and down that lane (exchange greetings w/ a chap who's building stone wall, and making a lovely job of it) -- into the trail at the end and work a bit to keep pace up there. Bash right foot right on bruise again, alas; then out onto Rockrimmon and start on the hills. Not aiming for speed, so just keep it steady; as in a marathon, aim to even it out on the downhills. Along as far as Turkey Hill, then out to 21 and up to 202, then through state school, stopping clock at 11 mile mark to get the mpace 10, then restart and run home via Jackson and geoHannum, thus
Time: 1:29:18
Distance: 12.10 miles
Pace: 7:23s
Comment: With the two easier miles bracketing the mpace 10 this was a good run: solidly 7:15s, despite hill and trail, and without working at it hard. The day off might have helped there. . .
